Recently you may have noticed that the blog has suddenly shifted from having more photos of Emily to more photos of me. This is not the work of vanity and a tripod.
At the beginning of the journey, Emily showed very occassional interest in picking up a camera. We have two cameras - one of each of us to carry around – but she rarely even took hers along. So, I become the photo-dominant one.
But then, perhaps somewhere in Crete she began taking a few photos and they were very good. She picked up some steam in Israel and then – I like to think – the beauty and wonder of Patmos overtook her, compelling her to pick up her camera and explore the art of photography.
Accordingly, the blog's photo content took a turn. Her photos became more of what was featured – and now most of what we post. She has a great eye for composition and is getting really into it. Her photos are usually more interesting than mine and she takes a lot of time thinking them out when she's working.
These are a few of her favorites.
